Role of homeopathy in preventing sickness

Homoeopathy treatment is generally based on symptoms. Do you feel that homoeopathy can help people having no specific health problem to maintain good health? In other words, can homoeopathy play a preventive role in checking potential sickness? If so please suggest suitable drugs in this regard.

Dr. R.K. Manchanda responds
Health is a state of natural dynamic equilibrium and as such there is no need for any medicine to maintain this state with relation to non-specific health problems. Homoeopathy can help in the prevention of communicable and to some extent non-communicable diseases. Homoeopathic treatment is based on symptoms of the individual; similarly the selection of preventive medicine for any particular sickness (epidemic) depends upon the individual symptoms of the epidemic, which can be collected by recording the symptoms of the group of persons affected by the disease. Homoeopathic constitutional treatment helps in improving the health of the patient while treating any disease condition; no general medicine can be suggested for the prevention of diseases in an individual.
